sss,
You didn't mention whether the rig had a FEL or not. If it does not, I guess I would not consider it such a great deal myself! I have seen 16 & 1700 series machines with FEL & well under a thousand hours on them selling in the $7 - 8,000 range, Admittedly not Hydro and perhaps without MMM ability but with a decent 3ph finish mower you would get a bunch of "free hours" for less $$.

If it does have FEL, well, kind of a toss-up. As for me, for $9250, I would look at a new TC series 25 (24) or 29, get a good deal on buying the implements w/the tractor, get a good deal on financing, get a warranty and start at 0 hours!! If your deal does not include a FEL, I think it's a no brainer for a new one (or that the 1620 is not a great value)!

sss, only you can decide but for comparison I bought a 2000 NH 1920 w/ 7308 FEL & 758C BH with 72 hours for $17000. Tractor is in new condition (garaged since new, Oct 2000) with just a little scratched paint on the under side of BH boom. This was from an individual that ran into health problems.

As a comparison, I bought a 1995 1720 12X12 transmission ( manual version of the 1620 ) with 7103 loader for $8000.00 in January. Tractor has 580 hours.

I'm selling a 1985 1310, 4WD, fel, with 750 hours for $6,800. Dealer is offering me $5,900 as trade in. I figure he'll offer it for around $7,500. For your purposes this would require the addition of mid-PTO and a MMM. Hope this helps you in your decision.
