Ford 1700
Looking at a Ford 1700 that a friend is selling. It was his father-in-laws, he is helping his mother in law clean the place up and get rid of stuff. Engine is free, needs a bit of wiring redone, going to mess with starter and see if I can jump the solenoid after reading some posts here. Oil didn稚 look too bad before changing, hydraulic fluid looks clear. Tires will need replaced although they hold air. Loader valve looks a bit rough, might be the most expensive repair if it needs done. Hour meter says 398 but given the state of wiring who knows.

Attachments:
Ford? Loader, looks like the hoses will probably all need done, not currently mounted on tractor
Brush hog 5ft I believe, deck seems solid, didn稚 mess with gear box
Back blade 5ft it looks like
2 bottom plow
Backhoe, frame mount Bradco, all the hoses need done but metal/frame looks solid. Mounts still on tractor

Everything looks pretty solid structurally, obviously needs some TLC and a bunch of hoses/cylinder repacks but doesn稚 look abused, just sat out. If it痴 a runner, would $2,500-ish be too much?

Welcome to TBN. I would say with all the attachments you could not go wrong at that price. Nice little tractors.

Two cylinder diesel. Great engine but more vibration. Built like a tank and the 12 speed transmission is rock solid. I have a newer series Ford 1510 and the hour meter only goes to 999 hours and then turns over to 1 and starts over. No way to know how many times it's turned over to know the true hours unless your the original owner. Is this hour meter the same? At 2500 pounds it out weighs and out pulls many small compact tractors with similar dimensions.

I have a hydrostatic drive tractor now but the 1510 is such a well built dependable beast I can't seem to let it go.

No it’s a 4 digit meter so it could go to 9999 one would think. Until it’s running no way to know if it’s currently working, like I said wiring is a bit sketch. Needs a new fuse box so hard to say

A great little tractor. Attachments are worth quite a bit. Biggest issue is parts availability. I had a 1710 & a 2120. Parts were even getting tough to find for the 2120
