I have a 1980 Ford 1700 tractor. I just acquired a 3 Point Hitch Tractor Supply Log Splitter.

On my tractor if you are facing it from the back, on the right hand side under the seat, there is a small block with a hydraulic hose coming out the top and a lever on the front (like by the seat).

I am assuming the hose might attach to the splitter's in hose, but then I'm not sure what to do about the return hose. There are some ports/bolts on that block that may need a hydraulic fitting to connect the hose to, but I'm not sure if it's that simple or I need to do more.

I have a feeling this line is supposed to feed a front end loader valve. I was thinking of just teeing this port and running two lines there.

I had run a return line to the second port on top that the hose is covering there.

I tried to run a line off of the port near the hydraulic control valve under front of seat, but didn't seem to run the splitter correctly.

I have a photo of the block with the hose coming out the top.
