Thanks, that would work for sure. Your hitch lever is alot different than mine, I have a straight bar running parrallel to the ground from the control lever to the rear arm. The rod is a linkage rod that is about 6" long. I tried to find a picture of it on messicks but no luck.

There is a castle nut where the rod goes to top diffy cover. spool valve is immediately inside. If you notice you have several washers that act as friction washers, don't need to be to tight. Too lose and the handle move and too tight and you can move it. on some rigs some washer might be leather to afford application of gradual tension with metal washers on either side for protection of leather.

Yeah, my problem is the guy who owned my tractor before bent the linkage rod so when it slides it hangs up...I just need to replace the linkage rod, either by buying a new one somewhere or fabricating one myself.

That yanmar chain set up should work just fine. One on each side- they oppose each other and adjusted, they limit the swing of an implement. When there is no drawbar on the back end, or implement, use a rubber bungee strap to pull them in and limit the individual swing- that's what my manual says on the NH TC30. I've got the same turnbuckle arrangement as in your diagram.

You can find turnbuckles at most hardware stores. They use them on gates.Here is one from menards 1/2"X17" Turnbuckle at Menards.
