Kirk; this has the 5 speed transmission. I didn't know that the 801 series had a diesel engine; good to know. That's what I like about the old tractors always something to learn. Thanks for your help.

Well, if you think it is a 801 series then you either have a 851 or 861. 861 has double clutch for live PTO. Look on the bellhousing clutch pivot where the rod from the pedal attaches. I'd there are two different pin holes you could have a 861.

starting late 58 and then 59.. the diesel engines and sos trannies came out. so right in t he 01 series.. etc.

Yes there are 2 pin holes for the clutch linkage.

set it (pedal ) high and see if you have a 2 stage clutch
