I have almost 2K on it in the few weeks I've owned it and I like it more and more each day. I have the XLT -camper -offroad-snowplowing package and the ride is actually better in this F350 than my XLT 250 I had. I think they moved the shocks on the 2009 a little further apart. This one has the Rancho shocks so I don't know what is really giving it the smoother ride. You would guess the 350 would be a lot harsher over the bumps but it is just the opposite. As for gas mileage..... I will have to say all around driving not towing it seems to be about the same if not a little better than my 5.4 250 I traded in. Just my observations....

They changed the front suspension on the 2005 and later models. Not sure what year your 250 was but it made a big difference between my 2004 and 2006.

Well I will now!! :D I actually bought mine used on Apr 2000 with 20k. It was a 99.5 as they say. I did sort of have my chance at a PSD. Mine is a lariet, CC 4wd LWB nice and red, 20k and custom wheels. Someone just traded a 99 psd, 50k, XLT(no leather), stock wheels, 4wd and a SWB. It was a few grand more for less truck, more miles. I'm happy.

I agree with Duffster on most things, but I have to completely disagree with his take on diesel vs gas on expenses. I've run both for over 20 years. I know to the penny what my fuel has cost me in my log books and I know what gas costs me to run. I've broken the math down for him before and he disagreed. I just figured that I wasn't explaining something right and left it alone. I know, without any doubt whatsoever, that when diesel was $4.90 a gallon or so and gas was $3.50 a gallon that it was far less expensive for me to run my V10 gas pickup as opposed to my diesel pickup. As I've mentioned before I average about 13 to 14 mpg with my diesel and about 11 with my V10 gas. There's a 29% difference in the fuel cost per gallon and only a 18% to 20% increase in fuel economy with the diesel. That doesn't even take into account the maintenance differences. Some people claim that they do not change the oil in their diesel vehicles as often as gas engines. Especially with the cost of diesel engines, I'm not about to go that road to try to save a couple of bucks. Even if no other maintenance is required other than oil and oil filter changes, based on the miles I drive, I'm spending a hundred fifty to two hundred more a year on oil changes alone in addition to the additional fuel expense.

Dargo, I agree with you completely. I did a lot of research before I bought my last truck and decided that diesel was NOT the way to go for many, many reasons. In retrospect, my conclusion was correct for me.
