Buying Advice Ford 3000 Diesel Questions

I'd have to agree with everything here.

a ford 3000.. especially a post 68 diesel with ps and 8spd / live pto.. that is the best one to get.

You can get 'beat' 3000's in the 3xxx $ range.. and good ones 4xxx$ and up.

with 1000 original hours.. that machine could just be broke in good

I have had the clutch replaced and brakes, wear items were readily available. However the headlights and grille looked the same as the English one we had. I, by no means am an expert on this model, just relaying what I was told with ours. We had some part issues that, for some reason, we were told not available because it was not American. So, what I do know is when we needed it ,it would fire up and work with the best of them!!

I would like to thank everyone for their help and information. I showed her what was posted and made sure she knew what range the tractor is probably worth. With the information you have provided, we were able to work at a price we are both happy with. So, I guess I now own a new old tractor. The seller is going on vacation for the rest of the week, so I will post some better pictures after I pick it up next week.

I know I will be posting more question in the future, as I become familiar with the tractor and encounter issues. Thanks again for your help.

all ford 3000 tractors with 8sp and powersteering are all the same no matter where they was built except for the lights which in the eroupean market they had to have more lights cause they use them as trucks as much as the do tractors and they other difference is the parking brake set up and its is a real easy tractor to work on and get parts for but that is a really nice tractor which with everything she has to go with it previding everything works its worth $6000 to 6500 in a wholesale market and $7500 to 8000

$8000 Ford 3000's are few and far between, my friend. There's a 3600 D on consignmsnt where I work. It's been there priced at $6500 for a year, and so far as I know, no one has expressed any interest in it after hearing the price.
