Ford did make a 3 spd. aux. tranny for these models. Under, Direct & Overdrive. Unless you're VERY lucky, and find a NOS one like I did, there could possibly be one in a salvage yard somewhere. CNH used to show the part number on their parts page for the kit, but apparently removed it the last time they updated their site. In the low side, I'd guesstimate they slow them down comparable to the previous 4 cyl. models with 4 spd. trans. first gear. But they also reduce the PTO speed also, which really isn't a problem for me.
In the OP manual for it, it warns NOT to operate the tractor over half throttle in 4th, OD. Had to try it one time, WOT last fall on a flat decent stretch of road. Fellow behind me in a pickup told me I was going between 25-30 mph.
Even if you did find one, it is quite a job to put one in. With what one would cost, I'd say you'd be better to invest your money in something else.
Below is a pic of my NOS trans. when I installed it back in '03. It had been setting in the parts room of a old country Ford dealer since 1973.
