Hello all-
I recently had to replace the fuel tank on my '67 3000, which turned out to be a more major (fun though) undertaking than I thought. I ended up having to mount the tank on the opposite side from which it came. Anyway, I figured before I put it all back together I would do as much maintenance as possible. I've gotten a good bit done but am at a stopping point at the hydraulic filters. I have searched this forum and several others to get as much info as I can, as well as going through my service manual, and I'm curious to know if what I have put together in my head is correct. When I took the filler plug off (back right behind the seat, big plug with a G on it) I can see down in there, and it just doesn't seem like there's enough fluid in there. I pulled what I can gather to be the level plug and nice clean fluid started draining, so I put it back in and decided to come in and post this before I go any further.
Is that in fact the level plug, just above the right foot rest, and as far as I can tell, to change or clean my filters, I would have to take the lift cover off(which I don't think I want to do right now) - is that correct?
Does anyone know of a maintenance guide to this tractor? I have a service manual which is extremely helpful but sometimes it seems lacking in basic maintenance items, so I figure there is something else that I'm missing.
Just whack me if I'm asking too many stupid questions. I've spent countless hours searching this and other forums for answers to try to prevent calling for help, which has been very helpful so far. This is like having a massive encyclopedia online! :)

Not sure on the level plug without seeing a picture, but the filter changing if it is in the rear end housing is a major job.

Someone will be along to get you on the right track on the level plug.
