Ford 3000 PTO shaft ring calamity

Thanks to Soundguy's great write up I was able to replace my PTO shaft seal. Due to poor reading comprehension I broke what I thought was a split ring that I was supposed to remove. I am unable to find it in a diagram. I thought it was part number 168104 but the ring just arrived and it is too big. The ring in question is a ring that fits directly onto the PTO shaft(in a groove) just forward of the bearings that surround the shaft before the shaft exits the tractor. Please help I need to bush hog asap.
