Looking for some input on a Simms to Cav Injector Pump conversion on a Ford 3000. Simms pump governor is lagging and diesel is filling the oil reservoir in the pump.
The local ag salvage yard is very helpful and great to deal with. They do not have a good used Simms available but do have several Cav pumps from 4000 series.
Is this a tough swap? I'm not sure what I am getting in to with this project. They have done this swap previously and say it'll add 4-6 horsepower. I'll be doing it myself and a bit apprehensive.
