Have you tried going to the New Holland site..?
New Holland
They have pretty good exploded views of things like the sheet metal, and fasteners, and where attached.
I tried to enter the UK site, but you need to be a registered user. The U.S site, you can just go on in, without registering. If you do go into the site, and never been there...
1. Put your cursor on New Holland Agriculture, then slide down to North America. It will turn yellow, then left click...
2. Place your cursor on "Parts and Service". Below will appear "search for parts" and 'Online parts store". Left click on "search for parts."
3. In the top left, you will see a white block to type in your model number, ie; 3000. Then click on search.
4. Select your tractor, in the list here, your tractor is the second one in the list. Click on it...
5. A menu will appear for every section of the tractor. Select the section, and it will show an exploded view of it.
It has helped me a lot working on my 2000. I have the hardcopy of the manual for the 2000 through 7000. And yes, things are not sometimes job specific, as what to remove, to get to what you are working on. There is, what we call here, a lot of "gingerbread", or sheet metal in the way.
You'll just have to decide what needs to be removed, to get to what you want, then go to that section in the manual, or check the exploded view on the parts page I gave the link to.. I've made more than several copies of such, to take to the shop.
It may help, if you have a problem, to post down in Vintage Fords, on down the list, and a fellow by the name of Soundguy could probably tell you what you need to know.. He could more than likely take one apart with his eyes closed.., LOL...
