Am trying to determine the year and engine of a 3000. Between the seat and the shifter is marked # T1, 4M20, C5NN 7006 F. I checked on http://www.machinerylink.com/ but this number doesn't "fit". Any Ford 3000 experts out there ?

i believe the c5nn 7006 f is the part number.the 3000 was made between 65-75. you need to find a number that has a C with 6 numbers after it like C100001.you might find the number on the side of the transmission. i know its vague but i cant remember exactly where to look. Mike

The number is stamped on the top of the tool attachment mount on the right side below the steering arm and to the rear of the fuel filters. It is to the outside edge and within a circular mark in the casting. The circular mark looks like a six inch flat grinding wheel could have been used to dress the location prior to stamping. I used a 320 grit paper to work down through the paint as the stampings are very light on my 1966 tractor and some are not decernable.
