Ford 3910 3pt lift cylinder rebuild

I was too cheap to hire it done so thought I'd give it a try. How good I was at it will be told when I get back to using it. Thanks for your compliments.

Very nice write up. I need to do the same with my 961 but have been having trouble finding the time.

You didn't bend the hydraulic supply tube taking the cover off by hand. Impressive and lucky. The tube usually comes part way up with the cover, then gets bent when you lift the back of the cover to lift the cover off of the rear end.
Usually have to lift the cover, slide the tube back in the rear end until the cover is clear of tube.

Oh yeah, I bent it. That's why I replaced it. It was stuck in the top cover.

If doing this again I recommend buying the tube and all the orings involved in separating the housings for repair, along with the top cover gasket. I had no idea what I was doing so didn't order parts until I had it apart.
