My '89 model Mark II is just a 2wd with no frills other than a nice aluminum shade on the ROPS. It had a Ford 7209 loader on it but I sold it for 1.5 times what I paid for the whole rig after I spent about $1100.00 replacing almost every line on the loader before I sold it, new big *** battery, changed every fluid in it, and on 2 new 5/8" steering cyls. All said and done, I'm in this thing for $540 total and about 20 hours of my time. Not too bad for this fine little 40+hp tractor I think.

Awesome!!! For $540 you can tolerate a leaking injector pump!!!!

I'm in $10K and am satisfied with the investment.

Heck yeah. If mine was 4wd I would be so happy, but around here, the old school hands back in the day just couldnt see the need for 4wd or the expense. They mostly stuck with the cheaper 2wd like they grew up on. it's ok, but 4wd sure makes your terrain traversing options greater. And they sure will pull a lot more than 2wd will.

I was looking for a 2wd model when I stumbled onto this one. I'm in steep timber a lot. Use 4wd frequently. Everything I own is 4wd. I'd have been stuck all the time..... :)

I'm really careful where I put mine. I hate gettin stuck. My place is hard gravel hills, sand hills, sandy mud, and bottomless creek bottoms in places. I've lived here my entire 53 years and have learned the hard way where I can and cant go on a 2wd tractor. There are some areas on my place so bad in the wet seasons, helicopters fly around em I tell ya.

Fully understanding the enemy is paramount to success (military jargon). :)

Yes sir it is. Been tractor belly down a few times around the place there on the old MF 245 and MF 270 that used to live on my place. Once you break thru that hard crust on top, it gets a suction on the machine thats almost impossible to get loose from. But those hard lessons stick with ya for sure.

For what its worth the shop in Missouri I mentioned earlier replaced all the seals in the pump on my 3910 for $80 or so. Never had a trace of fuel on it again for the 300 hours or more till I traded it off.
