Ford 3930 bad input shaft bearing?

The OP's own photos clearly show the splines in the pressure plate and clutch disc. The large hollow shaft is driven whenever the engine crankshaft is turning. That's what provides live hydraulics and power for the independent PTO.

Yes, Now I see it. Had to go to OP's pics again. I see anytime the engine is turning, obviously the flywheel is turning along with pressure plate that is fixed to flywheel and pressure plate coupled to the outer spline. That's interesting, I kind of second guessed myself but my Kubota's flywheel does not have a pilot bearing, it has gear teeth cut in the center of it and appears to couple with inner shaft. it seems two totally different ideas reaching the same result. I wonder which design is overall better. Something to learn everyday.. I tell ya. Thx.

It's been a while, but I just wanted to give a quick update. I got the clutch replaced and tractor put back together. I also replaced the pilot bearing and release bearing. I believe it was the release bearing causing the grinding noise as JC-jetro said. Bet I could tell the race was damaged allowing the balls to shift around. Anyway, all back together and working correctly with no grinding noise.
