On my Ford 4500 backhoe, when I activate the dipper lever the dipper does not move unless I feather it with the bucket lever. on the same token the bucket does not move unless it is feathered with the dipper lever. The plumbing appears to br correct. Anyone familiar with the control valve?
Could the spools be bad? Any experience with a problem like this? Anybody? Please help

I think I would check out the hyd circuit with hyd gages.

Each spool should be separate, although two spools can work at the same time. One spool should not feed into another spool. Bad seals , maybe.

The pressure gage on each circuit will help you isolate the problem.

Does your BH relief ever activate?

First read the input pressure/relief using a known good cyl on the BH.

Then check each cyl circuit for similar pressure.
