Another random thought that probably doesn't have anything to do with it, but it's something I've dealt with on my 555E

If the adjustment for the handles is off just a bit, what it controls will act like it's broken, or not getting any pressure. I just dealt with this on my outriggers. I have no idea how it got out of adjustment since everything was rusted, corroded, and packed with dirt to hold it into place. But when I got it adjusted just right, it became super fast, and easy to use.

I still have not had time to spend on the 555 but I finally received the manual today. I did think of another possibility. Keeping in mind that the boom works by itself but adding another function it slows or stops. Is it possible that the piston inside boom cylinder is leaking? Could it have enough flow to work on its own even though it could be bypassing fluid internally but adding another function could cause it to stop?

I can combine any movements on the hoe at idle or full throttle with full stick movements and everything works except when I was the dipper and the boom together. The boom and dipper work great when used separately. If I move the boom in and then try and move the dipper in, the boom will stop, and the dipper continues to work. If I move the dipper in and try to move the boom in, the boom does not move. I can feather both dipper and boom very lightly at the same time and both will move together.

I would think that if the problem was fluid in the boom cylnder beng bypassed internally, that the boom wouldn't work ao well when it is moving by itself. A simple test would be to see if you can lift the back of the hoe off the ground using boom down pressure. If you can - and if the hydraulic pump and boom cylinder are both good - then wouldn't that mean that increasing the RPM should make it jump up even faster?

In the very first post, you said that it did not make any difference whether the hoe was at idle or full throttle.
I think that If a cylinder was bypassing, more RPM should make a difference - but I haven't thought it through completely.
