Considering a Ford 4500 backhoe tractor project that reportedly ran when parked but being outside water mostly likely entered the engine via the exhaust. The engine won't turn and the current elderly owner says he has been lubricating the cylinders but still can't get to break loose.

Questions:

1) What sources are out there for engine parts like piston/cylinders kits etc. for this tractor.

2) What is the general opinion of the "gas" 4500 loader/backhoe (hobby farm use).

3) What size trailer would I need to transport the 4500 (100 miles), I only have an 18' 10,000lb car trailer and not sure what the 4500 loader/backhoe weighs.

Thanks

It's probably in the 10k pound range if I had to guess.

The parts availability for the Ford 201 is pretty decent (after all they used them from the late '60's until the mid/late '90's), I think Steiner has a fair amount of them. The gas vs diesel parts aren't too many, it's mainly the head and pistons I think, maybe rods.
