Ford 5000 3 point problems

I am having problems with my Ford 5000 3 point lift. Before I put it away for the winter, it seemed to be working fine. This spring, I noticed the 3 point lift wants to be either all the way up or all the way down. The lift selector lever works only at the very top of the range. The draft position lever is in lift control although it also does this in draft control. From researching this issue, it looks like it is probably a worn "cam follower pin" or "roller". I know I will have to remove the lift cover to access this but I do not know which part this is or even where to look. I do not see a part of this description on the Ford/New Holland parts page. Can anyone help me out with either a part number or the part name?

I am having the same problem with my 5000, I had to remove the top position stop in order to get the 3 point to stay up, which works well for now. I was thinking of doing the adjustment procedure but your explanation makes more sense. I would love to hear from anyone who has fixed this problem. Thanks.

The I and T manuals and the OEM manuals describe the flow and functionality pretty well on the 2000 3 and 4 cyls and 3000 series tractors. Would assume you'd get the same treatment with your 5000s manual.
