Ok guys, I put the new hose on the loader, started it up, let it run, and nothing, the loader won't budge. Do I have to bleed this system some how, and how do I do this. also, where do you add hydraulic fluid I hae type 134 from the ford dealer. "But i do not know where to put it in, or how much. Any help.

PS, the 3 point point hitch wasn't working, but now it is. what did i do, I didn't touch nothing else.

If you are saying that your tractor system is closed center hyd, that changes things. The valves added will have to be closed center valves and can be connected in parallel.

Hey JJ, I put on the new line. and I have no power to the loader, any suggestions? Also, where do i add fluid lost during the break, and how much.

Do you have a hyd gage? Tell us where you have pressure. If your pump is turning, you should have some flow, and if the loader valve is good, then the cyl should work.

Find the reservoir/tank and top off the fluid. Pump has to have fluid to pump.

Rudolph bros, nathen says I got the tractor in the picture and it does not matter that he made a mistake on the year. But he don't think he did. he says you go by the serial number C159450. He says the 1 is really a 4, which means its a 1976. The local New Holland/Ford dealer says you go by the Product Code numbers 6M13 meaning 1966, Dec 13th. I found it on Tractor House.com Listed as a 1976 Ford 5000.
So this is where I am at with it. He will not take it back, he will not do anything, The tractor I got, is the one I saw a picture of, and thats all the matters.

Thanks JJ, where would the resovoir tank be, there is not one on the loader, its hooked directly in to the rear end houseing , one hose in front of the seat, and once on the left side rear. about half way down. There appears to be a filler cap on the right side just behind the seat, but I don't know how full to fill it. Any suggestions, surely not to overflowing.

The loader arms raised and lowered the bucket, before I put on the new hose, but it was the line to the bucket that had blown. Its now replaced with a new hose. Neither the loader will lift, nor will the bucket move. Could it be air locked or something.

Thru the filler cap, on the right corner rear of the seat, it looks about half full to half empty. A little joke. I added two quarts and still nothing.

rear sump is the hyds sump.. there should be a big pipe plug there to check level.. on the back, left side...

might have to refill after bleeding the hyds.

it's the date code AND the model ID.. ealy units model id 5.. late units D

2qts in a sump that can hold 13g ain't much.. depending on how low it was.

did you ange any of the controls on the diverter or your loader control, or remote?

Thanks Sound guy. That plug is where they put the returen hyd hose. I removed the hose, and it didn't run out there, So i will add more fluid. Thanks.

But if the system needs bleeding, I don't know how to do that, I know how to bleed brakes on a car. I guess i will have to find someone to do that for me. Just another cost of being a tractor owner.

To bleed air out of a hyd system, just cycle the cyl's several times, and if necessary, do it again. In most cases, when you pump fluid in, fluid and air come out.

Thanks again JJ. Ok, I put in a gallen, then another and antoher finally 4 gallens and it worked. Went in to get the wife, started it up again, and nothing.
put in another gallen, and nothing. So maybe the lines filled up, lowered the overall level below what it needs to work again. Tomorrow, I will get 5 more gallens, and add one at a time to see what happens. I have all leaks fixed. No leaks anywhere now.
I got two new hoses, but they put the wrong ends on one of them. but anyway, I will get them to fix that tomorrow.

I don't know where 5 gallens went, unless it cyfiended off, when I was getting the new hoses. Then it was the next day before I put them on. I guess thats what happened or it was pretty low to start with. Maybe the dealer only put in enough to get by.

OH yeah, I put a stick in till it bottomes out on the houseing and nothing shows on it yet.

PUt in a sixth gallen, Can't even see it or reach it with the stick still. I understand it only holds 8.7 gallen

Where could it be going, I do not see any leaks anywhere.

Your brother said you've got water in the tranmission. He's a diesel mechanic, can he give you a hand with this?
can you post a picture of this tractor?

Yes, my brother will be helping me with this. Help helped me buy it. But is throughly pissed about what Rudolph Bros did to me about the year difference. He is thinking about us getting a lawyer and sueing them for fraud. Monday we are going to the Lincoln county prosecuting attorneys office and file charges.

Does anyone know how many gallens I need for the Transmission change.
Its been suggested, that I fill the tranny with Diesel fuel, let it set, then drain it, and fill it with the tranmission/Hydrolic fluid.
That just don't sound right to me. What you you old experts say?

If that's the case I suggest you keep careful records of everything you have done to this machine, documented with photos.
This law suit will take years, Rudolf (you already know they are liars and thieves) will place blame on you for the damages.
What about the photo?

i'll check my 5000 manual when i get home.. for the multi sump unit.

for the common sump unit.. it's plenty. IE.. 10-13 gallons depending on hyd usage.

wonder just HOW LOW yours was if you've added a few gallons and not got it out of the check port.
