ford 545 loader problem

what would make the loader bucket continue rolling back all the way to the stops after the handle is in neutral position ? Thanks ahead of time............mce

How about valve lever not centering in neutral.

Maybe leaking/worn spool.

I've taken the loader control valve apart, one spool slides / moves nicely . The other I had to use a dead blow hammer to r &r the spool . It' like the loader is not getting any hydraulic oil................Wher is the hydraulic res. for the loader???????????????????

I take it the valve end caps are off when you are trying to move the spool? I say this because the loader spool (LH in picture) has a float detent and the bucket has a return-to-dig magnet assembly (upper RH box). Rust can build up or parts can come apart and jam the spools.
The loader hydraulic tank and pump is in front ofbthe radiator accessible by removing the grill. The hydraulic fill and filter is accessible by opening the engine hood, then opening the hydraulic cover on the nose.
Later, emissionized tractors have a RH mounted hydraulic tank on the loader post.
