Ford 555

I'm going to be looking at a Ford 555 with ex-hoe and shuttle trans in the next few days. Seller doesn't know if it's an A or B, just says 1980's. Anything on the 555 particularly trouble prone that I should be aware of?

Make sure and test the shuttle shift at first start-up and then again at complete operating temp. I have a 555 loader that will move when cold then really goes bad untill it reaches full temp. New torque converter and lots of checking and still can't find the problem.
