Ford 555C Fuel petcock rubber seal replacement

The fuel petcock on my 555c Backhoe is leaking. It is leaking out the front through the rubber seal when the petcock is in the open position. I bought a new aftermarket petcock on ebay or something and then got to looking harder and found that I believe that I am going to have to pull the tank to change out the petcock. The rubber seal looks to be retained by a hairpin clip on my original (not really sure, I bought it well used) petcock.

I am wondering if I buy an OEM petcock can I pull the rubber seal part out of it and just replace that on mine without removing the tank?
