This clutch problem remind's me of a noise coming from rear when my tractor was driven forward or backwards. Strange thing was the noise was different depending on where I was at the time. Got a ton of information on how to split tractor and pull things apart in order to inspect clutch,transmission and differential along with several other possibilities. I was still assimilating information gathered when I looked down and there it was! A #2 Hunt's green bean can with some wire attached had become intangled on right rear wheel where it was hitting the ground on every revolution of wheel. The reason noise was different at times was due to surface being driven on. Concrete surface,gravel and dirt each sounded different.
