Ford 7310 loader controller valve stuck

I have a Ford 3930 with a 7310 loader and the joystick controller will not drop the bucket. The joystick moves in every other direction, just wont lower the bucket. Tried disconnecting and reconnecting QD's and now the up/down QD won't go back together. Is this a mechanical issue withing the controller valve requiring it to be removed or am I missing an obvious (and less tedious) fix?

I'm guessing the joystick has cables? If it does disconnect them from the spool valve. Cables or spool has to be stuck.

There are no cables that connect the joystick to the spool. It is a direct link from joystick to spool. The spool will not advance into the control valve at all when the joystick is pushed forward. Is there the possibility of something coming apart in the spool bore?
