the dizzy drive is driven by an offset tang one the end of the cam.. cam is hard mated to the gear.
you have to break the cam, strip the gear teeth or the gear qhisically un-indexed fromthe cam.. or shear the short dizzy shaft that traveels fromt he offset tang drive a bit forward to put the rotor button on..
unless severly worn and forced.. it's near impossible to install the dizzy out of time due to the offset tang drive.
I have seen ears on a dizzy broke when someone did not seat the drive into the cam before torquing the bolts down.. that's why you alwys holed it up.. start the 2 bolts by finger.. spin the rotor with another finger till it falls in.. then tighten t hem down a bit..e tc..
