Dealer follow Up:

1. Incorrect MILEAGE IN was put on work order.
2. Incorrect MILEAGE OUT was also put on work order.
3. Mileage used for their test drive was never accounted for.
4. Mileage put on oil change sticker was incorrect.
5. Some of the work staff are retired and do not see/read well.
6. Washed vehicle does NOT mean any bugs have been removed from exterior.
7. A/C and radio must have been 'adjusted' during their test ride...

I indicated if Ford was to stay in business, service like this will NOT help their cause.

The repeated lack of verification / valadation as well as lack of supervisory oversight was unacceptable.

The quality of the dealer is virtually as important as the quality of the product. A bad dealer can make a good product seem bad and a good dealer can make a bad product seem good, particularly while under warranty.

Get that in writing and follow up with Ford in writing. They need to know about Ford quality problems. If it were me I would be done with that dealer.

Find another dealer and do your part in teliing others to stay away from this dealer.

Seems like to me they're pennywise/pound foolish. If they would have thrown some small token of apology to you and admitted they were wrong, you'd keep coming back. Instead, they've said all your claims are incorrect and probably lost a customer.

If the staff is older and do not see well, they should have their vision corrected.

WOW.

So instead of admitting that somebody might have gone for a joy ride, they tell you that they are stupid and are unable to do something as simple as write down the correct mileage?

I hope this was given to you in writing, because it's pretty strong proof that there is a problem there and that you are being lied to. If the note is true, they are admitting incompentence, if it's not, then they are liers.

Good luck and keep us updated. Ford needs to know what's going on there and hopefully make sure it doesn't happen in other locations.

I took meeting minutes from the phone call and forwarded them on to the new car manager and copied the service manager.

I felt the new car manager was more honorable than all the others over there.

I may also forward the meeting minutes up to Ford Corporate if I hear nothing else.

Contact your local BBB as well as your local media networks. The BBB will be able to tell you how many complaints have been made against this dealer. Just the threat of media might get you a resolution to avoid more negative publicity. Also make sure that the dealer is aware of how fast negative info travels, especially on the web.
