ford diesel injector pump shutoff question

Stock location is into the bottom front center of the fuel tank.

That old roosa Master is a good pump,
like the pump guy said get a return line on it.
Personally I would not run the return line back into the inlet line as it will purge air at times.
Also, instead of ether loosen the injector lines and crank her over or tow it till she is spitting fuel good,
then snug them upand start her.

The wire in the return connector is "stock" from the 70's..
I would take it out & run just an open fitting w/ a hose back to the tank..

Hey RickB, this one has a return line for the injectors running from the head to the front of the tank. It doesn't look like the pump return goes there unless it attaches to the head somewhere. This thing has a weird injector system. It looks like they screw in from the inside or something. They almost looks like they're welded in. The injectors have no return on the top, just a line coming out of the head running to the tank.

Thepumpguysc and LouNY, I ran it for about a minute on either with a return line running up to the tank.
Nothing happening so far, although there is fuel coming out the return line.
Unfortunately the parts for my 4500 are supposed to be in today so this one is going on the back burner. When I get back to it I'll hook a chain to it and drag it a bit. Hopefully that will do the trick.
