None of those have been rated. Does anyone know if they work? The torque app has been out for a long time with over 20,000 reviews. A whole lot of plugins too. They have all come about recently I see. Hopefully one or two of them will mature into an app as polished as torque.

What always bothered me about sync is the fact Ford put in better equipped systems in cars like the fiesta than they did in their number one seller the F150. I enjoy the phone portion and bluetooth audio but it can't even display the song or artist name in my truck. No email, Pandora, text messaging, etc either.

I wonder what's going on there? My F150 STX is not a high end truck by any means, but artist/song title are displayed whether I'm using Sirius/XM, iPod or CD (pretty seldom these days). I haven't used text messaging with it and am not sure if it's capable of that or not.

The problem with apps for reading OBD codes is that all you can read are the generic codes. What you really want to read are the company specific information. There is a way to get this data from the MFGs but it's expensive. The other way is to hunt and peck. Torque is as good as it is because it's been around for long enough now that the community has found lots of this information out.

As far as Samsung goes, they don't make the Torque app, they don't make Android, nor do they make the ODBii adapter. I would suggest moving talk about them to the restricted forums.

This is related to the sync question. For maybe 40 bucks aftermarket can get all this great vehicle performance info. Now why would Ford leave all that out.

Ford knows that if they gave you easy access to diagnostic info, you would fix your own "vehicle problems" and skip a trip to the dealer. It's all about the money.

Yeah, this is the reason.

Toyota has options that can only be changed by the dealer but you can buy a cable for $20 and get Toyota's software for free that allows you to do it. You can also check all the computers for faults and clear them.

Exactly, I don't understand either. If they let you pick and choose what was displayed on the screen they would sell like hotcakes. I run Torque on my note 3 and its great. You can save multiple profiles for various vehicles too. So I just plug the Bluetooth obdii adapter in and I'm good in either truck, the wife's car, or the suv.

I am guessing this was directed at me but don't understand your concerns.
