Re: Ford employee \"A\" and/or \"X\" plan available on NH?

Spencer:

I don't remember exactly what I paid for it and my wife has the invoice put away somewhere (I don't fool with the receipts, she keeps the books) but I remember that I got a price that I thought was really good compared to the Case bailer which was a NH but a darker red at another dealer that I also do business with. I hope I didn't get taken, at least I don't think I did.

I almost bought a NH tractor too. The selling point on the 5030 was the cab. NH doesn't have a cab model crossover tractor or at least a cab tractor with the overall height necessary for my garage and I don't like to keep them in the barn. They (tractor) like a heated environment. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Ford employee \"A\" and/or \"X\" plan available on NH?

Boy, fords' newholland discount what a story, except in michigan??, has me stumped. That deal expired in the late 80's but some MI new holland dealers still honor it. Listen to this story. Dad now retired ford salary, I bought land and had home built in monroe Co.,MI. in 1998. Had a deal worked out with a Tayor, Mi newholland dealer for a 1710, gear, 7308 loader and rfm before my house was complete, on A plan, dad not yet retired. My wife and dad ^&%$^ so much that I was spending that much money on a "mower" that I dropped the deal. Now it is 2001 and I have spent big $$ on fill, grading, lawn, and worked my but off with 2 honda atv's and a craftman "graden tractor" on landscaping. walk into the Monroe newholland dealer and had a deal on a tc-33, 7308fel, rfm, on the "X" plan( dad now retired) deal done awaiting delivery, they call me and I'm expecting the delivery, and they tell me to get the agreed upon price the loan has to be in my dad's name. I tell them no way, my dad's retired, I'm 38 years old married, 3 kids, great credit, I'm not putting a loan in my dads name, solve the problem. I nevered heard from them again. So I'm still staring and researching tractor"s looking at used, while still working and adding to my land without a tractor, what a drag. Now it is spring 2003 and I'm buying a tractor end of story. So I'm looking at kubota, newholland and Kioti, I liked the newholland the best and felt some loyalty to Fomoco , raised that way. Then I find this sight and others, all the while talking to the two local newholland dealers and kubota, kioti dealers. I find my best deal at a NC newholland dealer. No "A" plan, No "X" plan, they act as thou they don't know what I'm talking about but they are 2k less go figure??. I financed 50% through newholland credit 0% for 36 months. Now my question is how did that NC dealer beat MI dealers on price "A" plan , "X" plan whatever???? Oh by the way my tractor has replaced my boat as my most prized toy, but now I get to used my boat!!

Re: Ford employee \"A\" and/or \"X\" plan available on NH?

Ford still made tractors into the 90's and still had the Ford discounts in place then. Even now you can still get the A plan discount (basicly you get it at dealer cost and I would assume they get a kickback from NH just like a car dealership does). If you re-read this post and look at Spencer200's posts you will see it spelled out there. Anything I get thru NH is thru the Ford discount. NH is wise to continue using this plan. As for your dealer, they could be misinformed or they could just be trying to get more money from you by saying there is no more plans.

Re: Ford employee \"A\" and/or \"X\" plan available on NH?

My father-in-law is 80 and walks with a walker. He was a Ford employee, and signed the papers. He laughed the whole time talking about "his tractor", and he'd let me use the tractor if I was a good boy!

Re: Ford employee \"A\" and/or \"X\" plan available on NH?

We do A plan tractors all the time, the programs are in place for any dealer to use. We are about 30 minutes from New Holland, PA so its pretty common practice for us. Others many not know the details but they can do it.

In my searching for a new tractor I too was looking for a cab. I found the cab on the L5030HTSC and NH TNDA series cab hieghts to be 1.2" difference, with the NH being higher. I know the TNA series is not a crossover tractor. But the TNA series are the smallest when compared to Kubota M series and John Deere 5000 series.
