Im with ryan im a IH fan but there fuse box was is the worst place between 02-06 then they came out with the new motors the MaxxForces and there great ive road in a few of them,Pete makes a good truck too the 335 i belive is the model seen them at the dealer with the new cat motors and the dealer says stay away from the new cat motors and I have no idea about the GMs heavy duty trucks all i know is its got a 7.8 Dmax.


And back to the EPA happy new pickup diesels, ATS performance is making a high flow DPF so were all good. LOL

IMO, I would stay clear of any International medium duty between 02 and 06 with the multiplex electrical system. The multiplex system works similar to cable television, and one multiplex circuit can carry up to 25 channels, which cuts way down on wiring, that is a good thing. The reason I dislike these trucks in particular, is that one, International engineers, in their infinite wisdom mounted the main fuse box under the hood right above the drivers side front wheel, and took very litttle provisions to sheild the bottom of it. Once all this Ohio salt ramped up with calcium chloride coats this fuse box for a year or 2, you can imagine how the 100 or so wires hooked up to it start to break off of their terminals at the worst possible time, or just corrode to the point that their is a ton of resistance, which can realy confuse that multiplex electrical system. Second, I have seen high school kids do neater jobs of wiring their stereo systems than IH did running wires under that hood, can you say rub through. In 07, they finaly cleaned up the wiring and put the fuse box in the cab.

All the trucks I have my eyes on are 1998-2000.

ID get a pete with a Cat motor then if you can find one with a good price and low miles
