What used to be called Russian economics, is now Chinese economics. The difference is that Russia lost, China is still winning.

I bought a complete wheel assembly for my wheelbarrow, it was less than the inner tube at the same store.

Now.... if we could replace a truck for less than the cost of a part, that would be another story !

North of the 49'th, trucks now go for what I paid (I'm carbon dating myself, I know) for my first house, a brand new bungalow ! And.... if I did have really deep pockets, I'd still be P/O'd with these new trucks - many diesels are higher maintenance than a super model !

If I had California weather here, I could see myself driving something pretty much like the truck on the Beverly Hillbillies ! (A few of my relatives would say I'm well on my way already). Something that you can fix 98% of it with only Vicegrips, a screwdriver, and some fencing wire is getting REALLY appealing about now.

On the bright side, at least walking is good exercise....
