Trying to figure out what tractor I just got.
It was listed as a 5000, which it's not. Pretty sure it's not a 4500 either.
I believe its in the 3000 or 4000 series.
The hood is gone, so no numbers there. It is a 3 cyl diesel with a standard dual range tranny. It has a loader and backhoe but they are much smaller then the 4500 has.
The tranny was making me think 3000, but it has a cast iron oil pan which makes me think 4000
Numbers on tranny above starter, as best I can make out, are
6L28C
440126
C168330 7CC

Engine casting number is C5NN6015

Can anyone tell me what tractor this is?
Any help will be greatly appreciated

If u can get me the numbers off the inj pump name plate, I can tell u what the pump fits.. DO NOT SCRAPE THE PLATE.!! Get some paint/gasket remover in a spray can.. Spray it on, wait a minute and wipe it off ..
Or try some EZ OFF oven cleaner..

Thanks :) I'll check in the morning to see if I can get the number.

I don’t have serial numbers references, but my recollection is that the 3000 had dry brakes mounted outboard by the wheel, and the 4000 had the bulges in the axle housings where brakes were mounted inboard by the center casing. My first thought is maybe a 3400 industrial?

This has the bulgy rear end with wet brakes. So that makes it a 4000?

I got to get some paint remover, easy off, or something. I don't have anything like that. Is there one you recommend over the others?

It looks like a 3550 since it has wet brakes. Does it have a single power assist steering cylinder on the lh side?
Also, looks like a 735 loader

Naturally the paint/gasket remover is going to be stronger than EZ OFF oven cleaner..
THATS what I use.. p/gskt remover..spray it on, wait a minute or two and wipe it off..
U might wanna have a bottle of water close by.. to neutralize any over spray..
It’ll cook your hands..

Based on the data in post 1, it looks like a 4400 utility with a 13 foot backhoe.

It has single steering rod that goes from the steering box to the front end on the left side. I think it has a cylinder in the front that the rod activates to move the front tie rod.
The steering appears to be set up is a lot like the 4500 but I think a bit smaller. And the 4500 has a square front axle. This one has a round front axle.
I cant find any numbers on the loader.

A lot about this tractor makes me think it's in the 4000 series, but the loader and backhoe is definitely smaller then the 4500. My 4500 has a 13' reach. This one is a good bit smaller, probably about a 10' reach.
I'm not familiar with the 4400. It could be one. It's definitely an industrial model.

It is a 4400 with the inverted U axle and it would have the power assist cylinder and linkage up front.
From you picture of the LH side, you can see a hanger on the loader frame indicating a 735 loader.
