Kinda funny to watch, but as a spectator it is pretty easy to get a u joint or part of a transfer case between the eyes. About 35 years ago I was at an organized 4wd pull and the transfer case shelled out of an old Ford, and a piece whizzed by my head. Funny things happen to "metal under tension"

Here in Europe, anything that runs more than their standard RPM or bigger than standard turbo, needs chain mall around the clutch housing and turbo in order to compete in official tractorpulling matches... they learned that the hard way...

I think that's more of a MIG vs. Stick illustration. The guy in the Ford welded his drive train on with a stick welder. The guy in the Chevy welded his with a MIG.

Maybe it was a JB Weld Vs Duck Tape demonstration? (Not sure which was which...)
