I belive if I was the garbage truck driver Id have been fired for hitting the trestle and beating the snot out of the boss that hit me with the turkey lol. Dad was in the rolloff business in the late 90s. He also bought a frontloader and several of the old county dumpsters. We made the drivers run with the forks up after sveral close calls. We did however have a driver that didnt open the top up one time and unloaded the can ontop of the compactor lol. Didnt fire him just made them pick up 2 miles of road way he lttered.
WHen I worked for Hydraulic Analysis / Geartek pumps they had a new Komatsu lift that was used up front and for pictures. I worked part time in maintenance and they had an old lift I think it was Clark. It was worn out and no brakes. When OSHA checked us we had to hide it in the scrap area and paint scrap on it. I was threated to be fired one day I wouldnt pick up another person with it, or ride the forks to pull a hoist down. One of the lead men kissin arse got on it and the carriage chain broke and slammed him in the ground.
They didnt want to buy a set of seat belts on it either as they cost 45 dollars. Glad I got the heck away from there.
