I'm thinking of purchasing a set of forks. Seems like there quite a few brands just on this website so I was looking for a few recomendations. What I'm looking for is 42inch and around 2500-3000 lb capacity. I know it's more than my tractor can lift but I tend to use things heavily. Moving stumps, logs, brush, piling, etc. I dont mind paying a little more if that means good quality.

Thanks for your input

Are you looking for bolt on brush forks, chain on brush forks, pallet forks or what?

I highly reccomend the artillian forks, they are super strong and easy to use, and so verstitle they rarely come off of the tractor!

Does your machine have a pinned-on bucket or do you have a Quick Attach setup?

I see I forgot to add some basic info. Kubota L3540 with a ss quick attach. I'm looking for a set of forks that go on the quick attach.

Thanks

I have a set of Loflin fabrication forks. I think they are 4000lb capacity. The tines are made by cascade. If you call them there may be a dealer in your are. Mine are 48" and at the time the reatiled for $700.

Here are a set on ebay that don't look bad and they have a discount on shipping to PA. They are made to look like Bobcat forks.

I don't know how far you are away from him but there is this guy on Craigslist selling forks at a good price. Pallet Forks/ New

Thanks kennyd
We've just added a great set of forks with an excellent price to our line-up. The frame design allows for maximum visibility and the 42" forks are rated at 3,800 pounds with a dry weight of 375 pounds. For those of you with small compact tractors, our best selling forks are the Construction Attachments compact 42" pallet forks with an 1,800 pound capacity and a dry weight of only 220 pounds. Both sets feature a universal quick attach hitch however the Construction Attachments forks can be ordered for pin-on loaders for a special build fee. All of our forks ship free to a commercial business or supporting freight terminal within 1,000 miles of Newton, NC.

I've got a set of 48" Bradco. Got a decent deal on them at a local truck/heavy equipment place. No complaints at all with them.

I have a set of 48in pallet forks from Construction attachments, and love 'em.

X-TREME DUTY PALLET FORK-Standard Frame Regular Lift Pallet Fork

I use them for all sorts of things including taking down 8in red maples. I can spear the ground on either side of the stump, lift and tilt down at the same time to snap the side roots and then continue to tilt down to knock the tree over. I've used them to take down dozens of trees on the 10 acres I have. I've used them to dig up some 1500# rocks. They don't miss a beat and don't show any wear minus missing some paint from the work they've done. I would highly recommend and they cost me about $700.

Edit:

PS I originally was looking at something from Land Pride that had the sides at a 45deg angle towards the top like in the link below. But, I am glad that I didn't as even though they would give a little more visibility, I think the sides that go straight up help provide more support as I can stack up 8ft wide logs high on the forks and not worry about the ones on the top rotating to the side as I drive because the back fence maintains its width all the way up. The CA forks also have a tall fence at 38.5in.

I've bought 2 sets of forks now, a set of 48" Wildkat forks and a set of 42" Versatech forks, both SSQA. The 48" set is very heavy duty and well match for my set up and they're the ones I torture, I mean use. I haven't seen the 42" yet, but those who have say they're heavy duty as well. I bought both sets at the Ritchie Bros. auction, on line both times. If there's one near you, I highly recommend going that way. Both set were brand new. I bought the 42" set because they were so cheap and I couldn't pass them up, my plan is simply to resell them for twice what I paid. In that same auction, I pressed the bid button 1 second to late and the set before mine sold for $200, you just never know.
