He are some forks I but for my tractor a while ago. They have 3/8 plates up top for the forks and 4 channel for the rest. I have 1 1/4" rolled steel across the top of the bucket for support and the hook point. In the pick I have a load of rocks heading to our flowerbeds. This load is 2600lbs. I have pick up more. If I try to pick up to much more than this I have to use my 7' disk for ballast.

You might want to check that right front tire for air pressure. Looks a bit low. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

2600 lbs is impressive. What did you use for the forks? I'm thinking about building some for my little tractor, but they will be used to lift far lighter stuff than you show in the picture. Mostly building material such as plywood and siding and an occasional log.

I am sure it does with that much weight on soft ground. I will check thanks. I will be using it more on Saturday. I am going back up to Arkansas to get about 14,000 pounds more of rock. Some creek stonds, flag stone, and big rocks. This will bee my 2nd load. The first was 14,427 pounds. We have been building bed all over.
Back to the forks. The forks are made of 4" channel,When I welded the fork to the riser I used a 7018 rod and went around both sides. The hook plates up top are 3/8 plate. I have no clue as to what the most I picked up was. I just know I had to use a lot of weight on the back. That is why the tires looked low I just had my 7' Box blade on the back. For quick weight on the back I strap 2 55gal drums on the blade and fill with water.

Post some pic's of your stone projects in the "projects" section John. I'd be interested to see what you're doing.
We've built a few raised beds around here.
