I assume they won't be at the Ohio Power Show here this month either. I don't see them listed as an exhibitor.

I went last year and thought it was a nice show, not big, but warm. I'll be going again this year on thurs. afternoon.

By the way, I checked and there is no admission fee.

I want to see a Bush Hog M246 or a Great Bend 2130 FEL. I just found out they are the same thing (both companies recently got bought by some other company and they merged). Both Bush Hog and Great Bend will be at the show, but I haven't been able to find out if they will have the FEL I want to see. It is disappointing that First Choice is not going to be there. It's also disappointing that it's not a couple days later, since I'm going to be in Ft. Wayne on Sat Jan 18th anyway to meet with family for a belated Christmas get together.

Yep, never has been an admission fee, though they do charge for parking to the tune of $2-3 (or $5 if you want to be right up by the doors). Like you, I'd hoped FC would be there, too.

If you want any ideas on nice places to eat while you're here, let me know. I know every town seems to have the same fare with the franchised places (Applebee's, et. al.), but there are some really good local places here I could recommend to you. This is really a 'restaurant town' for some reason, so there are lots of places from which to choose besides the franchises.

Thanks Gary. We'll be staying at the Sleep Inn off I-69 Exit 116. We like Bob Evans, so we'll be looking for one of those. Any other suggestions will be forwarded to the rest of the group for discussion.

I apologize for not offering to meet you somewhere, since it would be fun to meet one of the TBN'ers! Unfortunately, they (my brother and family) are driving down from Michigan and we are all staying in the same hotel so we can exchange Christmas presents, etc and we plan to stay in the hotel and swim and stuff and not leave the hotel except to eat. Neither of us had enough time to make the trip all the way to the other's house. This way it's about a 3 hour one way drive for both of us. We do come through there when we got to my brother's house though, so maybe next time we can meet somewhere?

I like Bob Evans, too, and there is one right at the 116 exit. Since you can eat at a Bob Evans anywhere, let me suggest getting back in I-69 south and getting off at the 109-A exit for a breakfast to remember.

You'll come to a traffic light just off the exit. Turn in to the first drive on your right through the intersection and you'll be at the Liberty Diner. It's a family owned place with excellent food. My favorite is their steak and eggs which includes two (yes, that's TWO) of your choice of two different cuts of steak, (two large eggs any way you like, potatoes and (my favorite) two full size pancakes instead of toast. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif It's also a great place for desserts, but that's another story.

If you like Italian, try any of the Casa's restaurants. The Hall's restaurants are also very good with no two alike yet all owned by the same family. There are a number of good Mexican places which are locally owned and run, also.

There is also a nice japanese steakhouse called Takaoka Of Japan (260) 424-3183 that is very good.

Yep, and, believe it or not, that, too, is one of the Don Hall's chain here. It's upstairs from Hall's Old Gas House restaurant on the original site of the city gas works.
