When we have -20F weather I don't expect things to act as they would at +20F and would not spend money on parts that may simply not be needed.

What should I use to lubricate the forward and reverse linkgage? and is lithium grease preferred for any grease fittings? Are grease fittings also referred to as a "Zerc"? I pushed the pedals again, and noticed that one return is faster than the other. I think the reverse pedal returns slower than the forward pedal. Could mean that the Torsion Dampener is getting weak???

I totally agree with you. Maybe if I take the part off and see how it works with push and pull and if it works fine, then it's all due to the cold snap we've been having. Keeping the tractor plugged in will probably help with this. The front is out of the wind, but there's nothing like having it in a garage. Time to clean out the shed/garage.

Good idea. It's in the garage right now with a small ceramic heater on low warming the undercarriage. I'll take the compressor out tomorrow and clean it. Has any tried Graphite in a spray can to lubricate? I bought a can but wondered if it was a good idea to use on the linkage.

Any dry lubricant is what I'd use. Grease gets stiff in the cold. I'm not a fan of present-day WD-40. I would think your Graphite would be good too.

Heated the tractor all night with a small heater in the garage. Today was 4 above F. Took it out and it worked beautiful. No problems at all. Just too long in the ------degree temp.
