The pressure plate "levers" are the "fingers", that the release bearing push against to release pressure on the clutch. I believe we are talking about the same thing.

If you have the tractor apart, it's easier to get all the fingers the same while it's apart and then set the clearance once it's back together. If the tractor is together and the fingers aren't the same it's easier to adjust the fingers individually in place than to split the tractor. Once the fingers are all at the same clearance you shouldn't ever have to change them, you can make up for clutch disc wear by adjusting the clutch pedal linkage.
Jinmas are notorious for not being adjusted during assembly at the factory, and arriving here with the fingers at different clearances. Good dealers will adjust the fingers as part of the final assembly. Since you can't be sure that the adjustment has been properly done until you do it, the emphasis is on checking the individual clearances.
