That has to be a record. I looked it up after I saw that picture and the current record for an American Alligator is 19' 2". That one looks like it has to be over 20'.

Growing up on the water, bayou and swamps of La, that big gator is another reason why I am so inlined to want a 50 caliber pistol. A 12 guage is not going to slow him down any more than it would a big grizz. That is a big gator, I have seen some really big ones but that is larger than any I have seen, 12 feet or so is about the largest I can recollect seeing. Shucks, up to 8 feet or so we tickle their bellies and pull their tails, said once before, pulling their tails makes them really ornery. J

Don't judge a 12 gauge shooting slugs short. They can do a lot of dammage.

Makes my Rattlesnake problem pale in comparison. Look's as if that things head is about as big as the guy standing behind it. I noticed they have his front leg's tied up and mouth taped shut. Duct tape is a wonderful thing.
