that is a bad story, gary, and perfect example of the kind of shoddy work you get when no one is there to oversee cheap labor. sorry you had to deal with that.
if you don't mind me asking, how did they tunnel under your house to fix the pipe?
i have a slab on grade home and the water line is all burried under the slab as far as i can tell. i pray it never gives us trouble, because i have no idea how to get to it or how to even find it since it's pvc with no tracer wire.
i would probably have to run a whole new pipe around the foundation and feed things into the bathrooms and kitchen with minimal floor disturbance inside best i could if we had a leak and couldn't find it.
