I had a dog that was always trying to catch Porcupines....it took him 4 times before he finally figured out not to do it.......dumb lab.

Anyways, the easiest way to remove quills is to cut off the ends with a seizors. They deflate and can be removed easily.

She is back and doing great. The Docs said she was the most advanced dog they did yet. Walked on it right after surgery...........

The only bad news we got was, when they scoped the other knee they found damage also and believe that it will eventually require surgery........OMG.

Great stories, after our last dog passed 6 years ago we decided not to have another one until both the kids were finished college. We are picking up our newest member 12th Dec, after she finishes getting what she needs from mom. Can't wait to have someone outside / in the shop and truck with me, it's been too long.
