BBC News - Denny Dolan 'recovering well' after fox attack

A four-week-old baby boy is "recovering well" after being attacked by a fox in his south-east London home, hospital staff said.

Denny Dolan was treated for a hand and facial injuries after the attack on 6 February in Downham.

I saw this on the news yesterday.

You don't really imagine something like that could happen in a place like London but it seems it can.

I wonder if this will change the anti fox hunting attitude in the UK. The anti fox hunters seemed to be mostly city people when this was in the news years ago. What was scary was the link mentioned a previous attack on two sisters which I had not read about before. I loved the comment from the RSPCA that said foxes won't attack people unless the fox is scared. Yeah, those babies in bed, in their houses, were out scaring the foxes.

Yes those scarey BABYS!! Perhaps a bad bad diaper or something. :confused3:

But maybe there is a point about being aware of the danger, cleaning up food waste etc. It's worked wonders in a lot of places that have issues with wild life. Yellowstone park being a prime example. Used to be bears were everywhere causing problems. Instead of shooting all of them, they found maybe a better way, especially in the long run.

Supposedly there is no rabies in England: Prevalence of rabies - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

They do have cases where the infection was acquired outside the UK.
