Fram oil filters for New Holland engine

Believe it or not not all oil filters are created equally. There are some that are just plain better built than others.

It could be alleged that todays Fram makes 99% of the other filters look better??

I would not run a Fram on my monther in law's Techumsa lawn mower.

I wouldn't either. As far as the axiom that "there's so many Fram filters out there, they can't be that bad", I have a 235ci in line 6 cyl Chevy engine that still runs perfectly and it has just over 200k on it. Oh, the oil filter? It has never had one. No kidding. In 1962, the year of this engine, oil filters and seat belts were options. My contrary old grandfather never bought into any of those 'add on' options because, in his words, that's where the dealers always get you.

So, by using the 'there are so many Fram filters' line, why not use the line of why use any filter since I have proof in my barn that an old Chevy engine not only made it 200k miles with no oil filter at all, but still runs great.

If you like WIX / Napa Gold filters check out this site Wix filters - oil filters, biodiesel filters, air filters, and fuel filters from FleetFilter! Most filters I buy are at least half the price of my local Napa. For my truck I can buy cases of 6 filters (oil, fuel) I modified my air filter on my truck the filter is $42 at FF the local Napa wants $85

I was surprised when i got my Kubota L2500. The filters from the dealer were not much
different than the jobbers like Napa in price.Thats up here in BC mind you.

If you have an O'Reilly Auto Parts near you, they carry Wix filters, and the Wix website has a filter lookup. WIX filters, WIX oil filters, WIX air filters, WIX fuel filters, WIX Heavy Duty Oil Filters . I just searched your TC34DA and it takes a Wix 51348, which our local O'Reilly carries for $5.49. They're good filters, and far better constructed than a Fram. Also, NAPA Gold filters are rebadged Wix, and a NAPA 1348 is about $6.50 here, in case you don't have a local O'Reilly but do have a NAPA nearby.

i agree- wouldn't run fram on a briggs and stratton. read the reports on them in comparison with other filters, we use wix on everything,car, truck, tractors, etc,

That's funny. About that time a guy I knew bought a new Corvair. The dealer asked him what he wanted on it, he answered "Nothing". Talk about stripped down, but it did get him from home to work and back.
