I found a good deal on a Fisher 9.5 EZ Vee without the "tower". I made this frame mount so that I can use the (3) circuits for the loader to make the wings work and power the lift cylinder. This frame attachment keeps the plow close to the tractor and takes the bumps & shock off the loader arms. Until we get a nice "snow road", I'm plowing on the rough dirt roads.
Next is the cylinder mount and upper "arm". The big lower part below the angle's is easily removable with 8- 3/4 inch bolts. That frame is not ground clearance friendly:laughing: I'll follow up with the "lift" assay. & when painted.

Looks very stout and nicely made.

How much ground clearance do you have left under that?

Thanks
There's just under 12" of clearance. With a "V" blade, you need to keep the center (hinge) pin vertical so that the plow contacts the ground throughout it's range of motion. This dictates the mounting height unless I were to make some different configuration on the plow's A frame itself, I didn't really want to change the plow so that it wouldn't fit back on a truck.

Yep, it's just hard to tell how close to the ground the mount is in your pictures.

RustyIron, do mind telling me how much you paid for that V plow.
Looks very nice.

Skyhook, I got it for $650, it is in real nice shape but was missing one of the cylinders and could use cutting edge's soon.

Wow, you scored big time with that one.
Wouldn't mind finding a deal like that myself.

That is a sweet setup. I'll presume that's a Fisher plow so you could plow whatever you want and not break anything.

I mounted a 9ft straight blade in a similar way and I think you'll be happy with the set up. Initially I was looking for a v blade but I was concerned about valving the angle cylinders from the tractor, the blades I looked at used single acting with spring return.
Dose the fisher have double acting Rams?
