I just purchased an artistic steel fire pit for our anniversary and realized we don't have enough level space to set it properly and with a few chairs around. So... got to leveling out an area on our sloped yard. Working with my BX FEL and BH. First couple pics of the fire pit being delivered. Gives you an idea of the slope I am dealing with. The fire pit weighs about 450lb I was told. I believe it, I can't budge it.

Challenge is trying to level a small area when the surrounding is sloped, blocked my my greenhouse, or pretty much a cliff. Had my back blade on but realized that was pretty much useless in the tight space and it wasn't helping level it. Put the BH on and taped a level on so I could level out using my stabilizers and this is helping. I have cut in about 18in on the high side and have an area of about 10ft wide by 14ft on the short side and 18ft on the long side. Cheating a bit and trying to gain some area on the cliff side. Eventually another retaining wall I suppose.

I am thinking a small stone capped bulkhead that doubles as some extra seating.
