Free truck anyone?

Since this is "free" wasn't sure if it would be ok to post here rather than classifieds.

We want to get rid of this truck.

I was prepared to pay local dude $50 to tow it away, then figured I'd at least make a semblence of an effort to see if anyone here may have an interest in it. (you pick up, you take..only charge will be maybe sharing a Coke)

If no one has any interest, that isn't an issue, and I woudn't blame you. I just kept having the "one mans trash, is another mans treasure" roll through my head, so thought I'd post & give opportunity.

I think if someone as any interest, if you had a roll back, or low trailer mounting it would not be an issue.

Have no idea of year..been sitting by fence for probably 20 years? As you can see by the trees growing THROUGH the frame, it has at least been there for couple of days /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Any questions..please feel more than free to post or email. I'll give it a short while then scrap it.

engine is a straight six gas

I'm told it was used to haul timber some way or another.

Last..it's driver's door though there, is somewhat mangled, and the hood over engine is completely missing.

Boy ! Thats one tired looking truck. Not meaning to sound insulting, but $50 to get rid of it is a good deal. Save yourself the hassle and time of trying to find an interested buyer or collecter. Pay the $50 and let the man haul it away.

well, like I mentined..one mans trash is another mans treasure. I am going to be forking out the $$ to get rid of it. No issues on being "frugal" there. Just rather see someone get it that may (for some unknown reason) want it. We sure dont, and agree that it is...well.... aged. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

None the less, I have learned so much from TBN and have been a net "taker" verses a giver, that if ANYONE here should end up with this thing I would feel as though I did something (albiet small) to give something back somehow.

Is this a sign of guilty conscience? /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

There are often local charities that will tow old vehicles away for free as a donation. Saves you money and you can claim a bit on your taxes. Around here the kidney foundation will tow vehicles. I don't know if there any rules or restrictions i.e. "We will tow any vehicle except huge rustbuckets with bullet holes/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif".

Have you tried that avenue?
