Free work gloves with test drive

I stopped by my dealer to pickup an oil filter for my 50 hour change and I had my printed form to get my free work gloves. I figure after what I just spent on the tractor, I deserved the gloves. Now the form is filled out and will be hitting the mail tomorrow. Salesman didn't know about the promotion, but was happy to fill out.

Glad to read that I am not the only devious one here. I have my coupon printed out and ready for my sympathetic sales rep next time I run to town, even though the "new" isn't close to worn off my 4410.

They have these deals from time to time. It is no problem getting the dealer folks to sign off, but there is no way I will let them do it without my test drive!!! They have tried to do me that way before, I aint fallin' for it!

I think it is a test of the effectiveness of banner advertising on web sites. It skews the results if it is on their site, too. It's on "the other forum site", too.

Why 'wierd' ?


Seems clever to me. They are looking to promote attracting new customers, not just pass out free gloves. People looking at the Deere site are probably already Deere-interested people, like me (and maybe you). I will admit though that the Deere site is the first place I looked (didn't see the headliner at the top of the TBN page).
I have my coupon in hand along with my two sons, and two SIL's. They will be proud to have a pair of Deere gloves. Hope they are as good of quality that the Deere is. I will pass it on to whoever I greet and get them introduced to the Deere line (I was not sure if the test drive had to be on a three thousand twenty series or not).

I just filled out the form for mine! But I have to admit I'm not even sure what I'm getting -- are these mechanics gloves? I hope so, those are great for working on hot engines.

I just paid 19.95 for a pair of JD mechanics gloves, and they look a great deal like the picture in the banner ad. Now that these are on the way, I can get the ones I bought dirty. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
